Diane and I go WAY back. Like, 3rd grade. Mike and I went to Freshman Homecoming together. The last time I saw them was at my wedding before Corban was even born. It was so nice to see them again and reconnect. I am so grateful for the friends in my life and the ability to stay connected.
I am not going to lie, I was COLD. I was bundled up in my puffy jacket while this little family was in their cute clothes. I guess they are used to it since they live in ALASKA. We worked fast for little Lyla. I hope nobody ever asks me which picture is my favorite because I could never pick one!
These two love birds met while going to school at U of A and then lived right by campus their first few years of marriage. What a better place to take pics! I have to admit this was the first time I had roamed the campus. I LOVED it! So much charm, except for that pond, Rob {wink wink}. Sara and I are both part of the Primary at church and I see little Anya every week. I drool over her but I never get to hold her since I have a group of 4/5 year olds to wrestle! I made sure that I got my fair share of Anya time today!
This is the first time I shot a family with older kids. Can I say how amazing it is? They listen to you and stay still. What a concept! I had such a blast with the Pullen family. We laughed together and just had a good time. I forgot I was even working! We had a slight break when I get stung on the bottom of my foot by a bee! But, the show must go on right? The Pullen's just recently moved here from Boston. I am sure they were enjoying the 70 degree weather and flip flops! They are going to make their east coast friends and family jealous!
This is one of my favorite places in the whole wide world, Seaside,Or. This is what me and my siblings call "Home Beach". My mother would come here as a child and then my parents took all 5 of us kids at least a handful of times a year. Now I bring my baby and husband here for the 4th of July. It is so beautiful!
I was used to taking orders from Krista, She was Student Body President in High School and I was her Corresponding Secretary. Today she took orders from me :). It was so great to see her again. This time she brought along her husband and her cute kids. I swear I say this every time but honestly, her kids were amazingly well behaved. They made my job easy peasy. I hope we don't wait another bazillion years to see each other again!
It is Christmas Card time! I headed over to the Nielson's again. I love that Joi wanted her fam to be in Christmas PJ's. The girls were so great and Ava was so funny posing for me while the rest of the family was getting ready. Towards the end the girls had enough :)
I was feeling the pressure to get my Christmas Cards done. We were heading up to Phoenix and I decided that this Saturday was THE day. We pulled off the road and I had about 10 minutes to get this done. My boys don't give me a lot of time ( especially Brandon). Daddy wasn't amused. I think he looks sexy :) A train went by as I was about to do our family shoot. I have a ton of frames of Beck's eyes going left, then right, left, right. Surprise for Christmas Card 2010... I will be in it!
